Description
In this course students are asked to take source material from a variety of mediums (scripts, musical scores, visual art), and explore the tonality and atmosphere of the work. With the intention of expanding these observations into a performative medium, students are asked to define the aesthetic rules of a world and convey that information to others. The semester emphasizes the power of visual and emotional vocabulary, as well as the skills needed to articulate a conceptual vision. Conversations with guest designers are held throughout the semester, allowing students the opportunity to present, defend, and explore their vision.
