In this course, the fourth in the certificate, and building on ideas introduced in previous courses, students will learn about the concepts underlying testing and evaluating web sites and apps, to generate the essential data for guiding UI/UX decisions. Topics in this course include conversion optimization, remote user testing, the power of surveys and how to to conduct an A/B test. This is a hands-on course and the instructor will introduce students to commonly used tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimization and Hotjar, among others. In addition, students will hear from a range of industry professionals about working in this area and have an opportunity to join in question/answer sessions. At the end of this five week course students will present an usability evaluation brief suitable to be added to a portfolio.
