CMUS4307

In this course students will learn technological skills for performing in network arts settings. The field of network arts utilizes live performance via the internet with geographically dispersed artists. The lab will train students in network audio and video technologies including microphones, cameras, hardware and software interfaces, network arts platforms, and online venues. Students are required to have a computer (Mac, Windows, or Linux), an ethernet (wired) internet connection, headphones, and an audio interface with external microphone. This course fulfills the prerequisite requirement for COPA 5307 GR Network Arts Ensemble (2 credits), and COPA 3307 UG Network Arts Ensemble (2 credits).
